Wintersleep takes Amerika across Canada

Will McGuirk January 18, 2016

I like the visuals for Wintersleep's The Great Detachment. Are the figures dangling their feet or plunging in, is it upside-down or are we. Where are we? Where are the rocks we used to base our lives on, its all seems to be so many streams and we are swimming in one or the other topsy-turvy, nothing is solid anymore. Interestingly the promo for the new album describes it as a "raft", one "borne from reflection and changing technologies". The raft will dock at Lee's Palace in Toronto Mar. 4 and at the Casbah in Hamilton Mar. 5, all part of the band's March march across Canada. Go, its bound to be quite the immersive experience.
