Cultivate Festival takes place Sep 20-22, Sloan headline

Will McGuirk June 16, 2024

By Will McGuirk

One of our faves fests, Cultivate, has announced the lineup for its 10th anniversary celebrations. Happy Anniversary! Cancon indie icons Sloan, Cancon folk icons Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy, plus Lemon Bucket Orkestra, Tanika Charles, Kobo Town, Tia Wood, Union Duke, Irish Millie, M'Grasker, The Barrel Boys, Trash Panda Brass and The Cultivate Festival All Stars and more to be announced it seems.

The fest takes place at the Haute Goat Farm on the border between Durham Region and Port Hope and celebrates all things homegrown and sustainable. Its small, slow, family friendly entertainment and such a vibe. I’ve have written previously how I attended one year and it rained all day and I still had the bestest time.

There are also art workshops, cooking demos, and selections from local food and bevvy makers on site.

Cultivate also do a rad job of promoting with their Winter events in Port Hope as well as their Road to Cultivate showcases in the months leading up to the Fall fest. Great times, great folks, great tunes, consider attending this year.
