The affable Vancouver troubadour Dan Mangan (who has ties to Durham Region via his time spent in Cannington as a child) has a new single and tour mapped out. The single ‘Cut the Brakes’ is a track with its brakes intact easing along a siding, slow chugging to it. PR says his new album ‘Natural Light’ is ‘Love songs about a planet on the brink of collapse. Campfire songs for a world on fire.’ Fun :) ! Although to be fair Mangan does not seem to be pessimistic on this song nor previous single ‘Melody’ so let’s run this parallel runnel until the world sorts itself out for now.
