Kathleen Edwards has a new album, ‘Billionaire’ out August 22 2025 via Dualtone / MNRK. Edwards take on alt-country has her in the same camp as Blue Rodeo, but her career has not been as linear as the Cuddy/Keelor 40 year partnership. Edwards has been one of peaks and valleys, even quitting at one point to open a cafe in the Ottawa Valley called Quitters. Yip uneasy but consistently brilliant songs delivered with veracity and humour. If there was such a thing as gal pal country she’d be first in the pool. So yay to a new album, and one produced by Jason Isbell and Gena Johnson. First couple of songs have been released.
