Resilience the core of new track by Ken Pomeroy, new album Cruel Joke out May

Will McGuirk February 10, 2025

Ken Pomeroy

By Will McGuirk

“The wind keeps hitting me like my mother used to/ Unlike her I feel like it doesn’t want to”

Honest Americana from Oklahoman with Cherokee heritage Ken Pomeroy. The line above is from a new single ‘Stranger’ from her upcoming album Cruel Joke on Rounder Records. Although folk influenced modern country rock has a similar vibe, sound and feel its the stories that matter, and when you begin with lyrics such as kicks off Stranger I’m all in. I want to know everything about this singer/songwriter’s story.
